MASSMAN

Top Load - Pick & Place Case Packer

Overview

If your packaging job involves picking and placing product into a top-load RSC case . . . here is a solution for you. The Massman Top-Load Pick & Place Case Packer is a rugged, easy-to-maintain machine with straightforward changeover features and simple operational
controls. The standard Massman welded-steel tubular frame provides ample rigidity for all mechanical operations. This frame style also provides an aesthetically pleasing matrix within
which to mount safety-interlocked guard doors.

A "U" channel with hinged, gasketed covers is welded to the top of the frame, integrating wireway function with frame fortification.
Full-height guard doors offer easy maintenance accessibility and good viewing of machine operations while providing safety for personnel around the machine. Servo motor control of loader motion provides smooth, accurate positioning of product in the case.

Handwheels with digital readouts make for speed and repeatable accuracy during changeover. A touchscreen interactive display operator’s control panel provides operator-guided startup as well as machine status and
diagnostic information. This means less know-how required for operators, and quicker troubleshooting for technicians resulting in less overall operational downtime.

This machine contains a few unique special features. Among these are a waist-level magazine for easy refilling with case blanks, and moving tape heads which save time in the machine operational cycle and reduce the
overall machine size. In addition, product may be loaded in its on-conveyor orientation, or rotated 90°.
